Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Arrival and transfer to the hotel.
On reaching the airport (Entebbe), our driver guide will pick you and transfer to the hotel. Dinner and overnight at imperial botanical gardens.

Day 2: Transfer to Kibale Forest
After breakfast, you will head to Fortportal via Mubende from Kampala, passing all through grassy countryside and long-established homesteads and farms. You will reach in 5-6 hours time. Have a stop over in Fort portal town for lunch before driving to Ndali lodge/ Primates Lodge.

Day 3: Chimpanzee tracking & Bigodi swamp
After an early breakfast,transfer to kanyanchu information centre for briefing. You will then with local guides hie into the forest looking out for the chimpanzees. Kibale Forest is rich in animal life, including an astonishing 12 species of primates have been recorded, the very localized red colobus and L’Hoest’s monkeys. Tracking the chimpanzee our ‘cousin’ is a very interesting experience. The way they feed, climb trees, respond to humans, caring for their young ones leaves an imaginative dream to tell. In the afternoon visit the surrounding – Bigodi swamp for birding. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 4: Transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park and launch cruise
After breakfast, head for Queen Elizabeth National Park, which is situated at the foot of the Rwenzoris Mountains, protecting over 200 sq km of Rift Valley Savanna, interspersed with patches of forest and crater lakes thus an thought for a safari. At your arrival, carry out a launch trip along the Kazinga Channel. You will scrutinize the concentration of water birds, hippos and crocodiles which is amazing. The bird species includes the black bee- eater, 11 types of king fisher, and several species of falcons, eagles and the raptors and many more. Day 5: Game drive and chimpanzee tracking at Kyambura Gorge
Early morning game drive in the Park, to see wildlife like elephants, lions, Uganda Kobs, spotted hyenas and the leopard plus many others. In the afternoon, head to Kyambura gorge for the chimpanzee trekking. Dinner and overnight Mweya Safari Lodge or Simba Safari Camp.

Day 6: Ishasha sector and transfer to Bwindi forest
Have an early morning breakfast and drive to ishasha in the southern sector of the national park. Look out for lions hanging up in the fig tress as they enjoy their morning meal. You will then drive to savannahs hotel for lunch and proceed to Bwindi forest national park.Dinner and overnight at Bakiga lodge/ Gorilla safari lodge.

Day 7: Gorilla tracking & Transfer to Kigali
After breakfast with packed lunch, you will be driven to the Park headquarters for briefing after which the guides will lead you into the forest in search of gorillas. The time taken and the terrain vary according to the movement of these gentle giants
but the thrill of meeting them face-to-face takes away the pain. Enjoy a close view of these primates as they undergo their daily activities. you will particularly enjoy the young ones as swing from branch to branch while the sliver back patrols to ensure the safety of the entire family. After an hour with the gorillas, descend back to the starting point and transfer to kigali. Dinner and overnight at Mountain gorilla View lodge.

Day 8: Golden monkey trekking/Dian Fossey hike
Have a morning breakfast and transfer to volcanoes national park for golden monkey trekking. While with the golden monkeys, you are reminded to be careful and attentive as you take photographs since they are playful creatures which continuously jump crossing over in tree branches. Alternatively, transfer to karisoke research centre and hike to the grave yard of Dian Fossey an american primatologist who dedicated her like to save gorillas in volcanoes national park.Dinner and over night at the lodge.

Day 9: Ibyiwacu community village
You will a morning breakfast and trabsfer to the iby’iwacu community village also called the gorilla village. Here you will be introduced to the Kinyarwanda traditional cultures rewarding you with an extensive knowledge of Banyarwanda. This is demonstrated in form of dances, songs, poems, preparing local foods, looking after young children and traditional dressing codes which all introduce you to Rwanda culture. Intrestingly, travelers are allowed to take part in thse activities which make feel like part of the community. Dinner and overnight at the lodge.

Day 10: Departure
Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and transfer to Kigali international airport for a connecting flight.
