DAY 1: Transfer from the airport.
Upon your arrival, you will be picked by our representative from the airport to Akagera game lodge for dinner and overnight stay.

 

DAY 2: Game drive and Canoeing.
Take a cup of coffee and leave for a morning game drive expecting to see animals such as lions, elephants, topi and bird species like heron, shoebill, and African jacana among others. Late breakfast and relax waiting for lunch. You will then enjoy a canoe ride along Lake Ihema hoping to see crocodiles, hippos and birds. Overnight stay and dinner at Akagera Game Lodge.

 

DAY 3: Transfer to Nyungwe forest.
Have breakfast and drive southwards to Nyungwe forest via Kigali. En-route lunch in Butare town, visit Rwanda National Museum, Murambi genocide memorial site and Royal palace. Proceed for dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura Guest house / Nyungwe safari lodge.

 

DAY 4: Chimp tracking and canopy walk.
Take breakfast and head to the park headquarters to be briefed about the “dos and don’ts” while with the chimpanzees. Proceed to the forest for the adventurous activity. After lunch, proceed for another adventurous canopy walk or Colobus monkey tracking in the forest. Dinner and overnight stay at Gisakura guest house / Nyungwe Forest Lodge.

 

DAY 5: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Morning breakfast followed by transfer to Parc National des Volcans, a home to Mountain Gorillas in Rwanda. This is a longer journey through beautiful scenery, rolling hills and tea plantations. Overnight at Mountain Gorilla View Lodge / Hotel la Palme / Kinigi guest House.

 

DAY 6: Gorilla tracking.
After your breakfast in the morning, you will drive to Parc National de Volcans for mountain gorilla tracking. After lunch, transfer back to Kigali for your scheduled departure flight in the evening.
